COSTS
At minimum, you will pay our registration fee of $275. This fee is separate from what insurance carriers will reimburse the birth center. The registration fee is a non-refundable, non-reimbursed fee that goes to pay for the hard costs of running The Birthing Inn. Please
click here for more information about the registration fee. Any additional out of pocket expenses would be your deductible and/or your patient portion after insurance pays their part.
The Birthing Inn accepts the following contracted insurance plans:
- Aetna
- Department of Human Services (DSHS)
- Including: Community Health Plan and Molina
- First Choice Health Network
- Group Health
- KPS
- Premera Blue Cross
- Including: all Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans
- Regence
If you do not see your insurance company on the list, check with your insurance carrier to see if they offer out-of-network benefits. You may be surprised at how little out of pocket you would be responsible for. Please contact your insurance company for additional information.
What if I don't have insurance? Families with out insurance coverage are offered a cash discount of $1540.00 payable at time of registration. That is a 50% discount from the amount billed to insurance carriers.
- Military /Tricare - The Pearl Place Midwives (6002 N. Westgate Blvd, Suite 230, Tacoma, WA 98406 - 253-761-2244) accept Tricare insurance plans. Unfortunately The Birthing Inn does not have a contract with Tricare, however, in support of our local military families, we offer a 20% discount from the normal cash price for all military families wanting to birth at The Inn. The cash price for military families is $1232.00 which includes the registration fee.
